First 97 and 29 are not shooting and not playing there best and the team isn't following,, but the main reason is Knoblaunch isn't being smart he says play amazing and get more ice time, but yet he doesn't trust the bottom 6 and giving more ice time to 97, 29, 2 and there taking more ice time then the rest of the team, how do you expect the team to play and score the the 3 main guys are getting most of the ice time, and the three guys are going to be tired and burned out… and is isn't a goaltenders fault there not to blame it's every one else and I blame the coaching staff the most

This is why i was so upset about the Calgary and islanders games. We needed those extra points because the schedule is so tough through the first couple months. No room for errors let alone mistakes.
It's early… but here is a question… IS this a playoff hangover? or simply not good enough/too young lineup? They are not the Rangers or Flames, but offense is hard to come by. Connor signed for a deep deep discount to get him and Leon some help…. I personally think they are too young now and will rely more than ever on Connor and Leon.
The coach is not giving everyone a chance to play and prove themselves. You know spread the time even over the whole team and see a different result. You know you just tire out 29 and 97 and 2… And most of the time 2 is pathetic on defense and he can't hit the net
It's outrageous how people are calling chris knoblauch a fraud and saying he needs to be fired. We are 5 games into the season, and half the team is new from last year. I understand wanting a good start, but Holy. This coach took us to 2 straight cup finals, and the second the team does not show up for 2 games, people want him fired. We had a bad start last year, in fact, even worse then this year, and there was no one calling for knoblauch to be fired. If we are 15 games in and have shown no signs of improvement, then start talking. But for no, just chill, please. Especially these big channels following the oilers its annoying as hell.
Team needs to shoot more I’ve said this before and many other people have said this but the oilers all they do is pass and pass and pass AND PASS AND THEN TURN THE PUCK OVER. Especially on the power play 2 shorthanded goals in back to back games because they don’t wanna shoot the puck if you watch the game all 60 minutes you will see and it will really piss you off. Clear lanes and they continue to pass and pass into non clear lanes.
As you already know I'm not a fan of either Nurse or Bouchard. Thinking about it a bit , $20,500 for two defenseman. It's hard to understand that some people feel it's ok. Watching Conner on the breakaway was awesome and I'm sure he's a happy camper. Not going to blame Pickard but this defense has to improve.
Knoblauch is a 'nice-talker'. PP is not doing well, McDavid and Draisaitl appear stressed, doing too much, too cute. We do not have consitency throughout the lineup. I do not like how the team improves.
