Canes get 16 saves from Brandon Bussi in 5-1 win over Sharks
Brandon Bussi’s NHL debut will be a night he’ll never forget. Spent the better part of the first 30 minutes making save after save after save and allowing the Canes the chance to find their game. When the Canes did, look out. Sean Walker, Will Carrier and Eric Robinson all scored in the second period. Shayne Gostisbehere and Jackson Blake tallied in the 3rd and the Canes held San Jose without a shot on goal in the final period. Jaccob Slavin did not play and will almost certainly not appear in any of the remaining 5 games on this road trip. But, Walker, K’Andre Miller, Gostisbehere and Alexander Nikishin were excellent in the win.
Canes Corner is presented by The Aluminum Company of North Carolina.

Bussi was great, want to see more out of line 1 and Svech my got it’s like a broken record with him every year
I still wear my Skinner Candy Cane Canes jersey. I was impressed with him for SJ last night.
Bussi was amazing. I realize this is one game and against the Sharks, but if this is consistent for him PK may be number 3. The power play sucked, no one wanted to shoot, looked like they were just playing keep away. And Svetchnicov was not good. This is the same old same old again. Unlike Adam I dont think it's to early to worry about this continuation from last year.
So proud of Bussi. Watched him play up here in Maine in the ECHL where him and DiPietro were stellar goaltenders in the Bruins system.
You always are negative
