This is the beginning of a beautiful relationship.
Early on Nikishin has had shade of Viktor Hedman to his game
he looked the part since his 2nd shift. So glad we got this guy
He’s going to get better. In a year or three he’s going to be an elite offensive defenseman and Norris candidate, IMHO.
Another thought: the Canes should be very reluctant to trade Svechnikov, as Andrei will be the only translator on the team, and someone Niki can become chums with (along with Kooch).
Nikishin is going to be a stud for the Canes.
Aho just refuses to become the guy, had a fast break opportunity last night and slows up to pass. Idk how Jarvis is getting more praise he has 5 goals in 4 games and was directly responsible for 3 of our 4 goals last night he’s our superstar in the making.
2026 Calder Cup winner – 2027 NHL All-Star game Hardest Shot winner – 2028 Norris Trophy winner
98mph shot and that's fairly regular for him, blocking that has to feel awful
