Panthers got away with this so many times in the playoffs last year. Just ridiculous that referees are not enforcing this stuff properly….and esp with the Panthers.
Did anyone in the comments think that those two games would be great because of the hockey? I sure didn't. If I had something to say in this league there would be some match-ups in not happening in pre-season like the battle of Florida or also some of the Canadian match-ups. It is getting too dangerous as we could see now like three years in a row. There are teams that hate each other.
Nearly identical infractions across two games for each team. Greer with a cross-check to the back away from the puck followed by a sticked punch followed by two gloved punches to the head. Gets 2k fine. Sabaurin legal check followed by a sticked punch and two gloveless punches to the head. Sabaurin gets a hearing and likely suspension. Verhague and Moser nearly identical dangerous boards. Moser who has no history of shenanigans gets a hearing and likely suspension and Verhague gets… nothing. The league needs to clean house in operations and especially remove nepotistic relationships especially since that nepotistic relationship has a long history of favoritism.
Cool concepts. I am just discovering. Globally agree with your call. Would be interesting if you can add the Player Safety decisions (when there is one).
How about we put both of these teams on suspension until the state of Florida starts acting like human beings. It's not a hockey state, the corporate capitalist NHL is only there for the money. That's why we have barbarian fans that like this stuff.

The NHL can't suspend Verhaeghe for dirty play, they can only suspend Tampa AHLers for dirty play! 🤣

Honestly, after seeing his body of work in the playoffs and seeing this in a preseason game, 3-5 games is not enough. He needs to be tossed for 20.
