One thing i dont agree with is the fact that its not bad if theres no big collision. If someone just folds like that, especially a fantastic player like barkov, theres something extremely wrong. I saw laine get his leg clocked and he still came back because the injury was obvious. Any time ive seen any of my teams players just go down like that, it was extreme long term
First there is no god to appeal to either literally or figuratively. Secondly, players being injured for an entire season or more is pretty common and happens to all teams. Third, the Panthers are the dirtiest team in modern hockey history. Fourth, their coach quit on Winnipeg. Fifth, they have the face licker on their team. And yet they have won twice. No team deserves to lose more yet they win. But they'll play the salary cap game and keep him out all season just to reinsert him during the playoffs. Don't wish injury on anyone but certainly hope this helps them lose.
Habs fan here and I have no love for the Panthers. But not a hockey fan anywhere in the NHL who wouldn’t want Sasha Barkov on their team. Unbelievable player and a class act. This is just a terrible injury. Wishing him a speedy recovery. Even if it does mean he’ll be back killing my Habs sooner…
He might be the most overrated player in the league, but that sucks. Atleast his productivity isn't that hard to replace being around .9 points per game, but his off ice presence must be hard to replace.
Feel rly bad for barkov but FUCK do I feel bad for the guy who injured him. From the clip it seems like he really didn’t do anything, but I have to imagine it eats away at you if you take your captain out for an entire year… as a nucks fan hopefully barkov puts up 100 in 26-27
