Teams for a lot of room could take a lot of other bad contracts but the appeal of Price is the one year left and the actual money vs cap hit. The last part only has value if some owner wants to save money. For San Jose, taking Price would be a way to allow them to trade some others UFAs off their team in season without worrying about dipping under the cap
