  1. It's game 1-there will be injuries & there will be changes. And I think they want Brock to get off to a good statistical start-he picks up secondary assist by winning the faceoff on PP tonight. So I could easily see Gabe on that top PP soon also but remember it's a LONG season. Even a guy like Brindley-theres no guarantee he's up with the Avs for good. He was just so awesome in camp,& preseason he almost forced them to at least reward him with a few NHL games,& see how it goes. And I don't think Kelly is our new 4C-Bardacov is gonna get his chance soon here.

Olafson,Brindley,& Kryvanta all could be scratched in the next few games to get Bardacov in there. More likely Brindley or Kryvanta. But October is the time for a little experimenting anyways so ya can't take anything that happens early in the season as set in stone forever. And I agree LA (just like WPG)- will regress a bit this year,& they are not an elite team. But don't forget they were almost historically awesome at home last year-& not very good on the road.I actually think WPG,& LA will be fighting for their WC lives,& 1 of them just might barely miss out but I'm not sure who yet -lol.

  2. My West predictions might.make me look bad in some respects-lol. But I'm gonna go with Vegas wins the Pacific,Edmonton #2,& #3 Anaheim which might blow up in my face. I have AVS finishing 1st in the Central,Dallas #2,- Minnesota #3. My Wild cards are WPG,& Utah. So I have LA,St Louis,& Vancouver just barely missing the playoffs but Anaheim could make me look bad. So it'd be Vegas over Utah,& Colorado over WPG,Dallas over Minnesota,& Edmonton over Anaheim. 2nd round AVS finally beat Dallas,& Vegas beats Edmonton. For now I'll pick Vegas to beat Colorado in 7. But I really think Colorado,Dallas,Vegas,& Edmonton have an equal chance to win the West-anybody else would shock me.

In the East-Barkov kills Florida,& making 3 straight Finals catches up to them. I'd say Carolina finally gets to the Finals,& right now today I will pick Vegas to beat Carolina in the Finals-pissing off every Toronto can when Market finally shows up for the playoffs. But AVS are right there-but since I'm picking the Nuggets to win it all-I can't pick both of them -Id feel like too much of a homer since I work at Ball. But I do think this is the best chance we have ever had to get both teams in the Finals,& no city in America has as good of chance at hosting both Finals as Denver,& Ball arena does this spring.

  3. Lines will get mixed as situations dictate. What we saw tonight on the top line is what we expected at the end of last season, i.e. when MacKinnon, Makar and Necas are on the ice you can't double team all of them, someone is going to be open. Rantanen understood and benefitted from it and Necas looks like that is clicking in for him.

Lehky is a guy who understands his role and can read what top players want to do. He doesn't have the same skill, but he understands how his skills fit with them. That is why he plays on the top line. He knows where to go.

Landy, may not get PP1 time because they don't want to expose him and his knee to the kind of punishment that comes with playing net front on the PP. Lots of cross checks and lots of slashes to the back of the legs goes on there.

  4. 1:07:14 What is Raj talking about? Blackwood is not better than Bennington. Him making the team has no effect on them winning or losing the Olympics bc he’s not going to start either way…
