A win is a win despite that almost hideous ending in the 3rd period by the Stars (giving up two shorthanded goals in that period is inexcusable). The Stars' sixth-straight season opener win which currently the longest streak in the NHL.
Mikko should be the stars next captain, full stop. He’s a natural leader, by example and by the way he handles the media. Seems to enjoy answering questions with articulation and the boys have a great deal of respect for him in the room. He’s a leader.
What is wrong with this team? Why can’t they hold a lead? Geez
Just some feedback bc I love the pod. Your audio was cutting in and out. Figured it was just an internet thing.
I tried to find this game last night on TV, the Victory+ app didn't have it and it wasn't on any of the regular channels. Where did you watch it?
I want to see Bichsel vs Rempe
Great takes and great to start off strong with a win. Looking forward to a strong season, Joey keep doing your thing🫡🤟🏼
Shout out to Lundquist who got a goal and an assist and finished the night with the best +/- of either team (+3). I know people don't like that stat, but I think when it's above 2 in either direction or in a game that had 9 goals, it becomes more significant.
I can’t stand slow try hard power plates. It always makes me nervous.
Hey Joey! Are you ever present at the ice ray games? I’d love to get an autograph!
Looking forward to a new season and listening to Joey on the Locked on Stars!
Otter played great – said no one ever. Dude is killing the stars. Overrated
We looked great last night. We were owning them. Great for 50 minutes. Needs a little clean up, but overall, for the 1st game of the season we looked awesome. We were playing with our food there for a while. I liked our effort. Robertson looked strong. Duchene was killing it. Rantanen was enforcing his will in guys. The whole team was really making things looked easy. If we had lost we would be screaming right now, but we didn’t. Wasn’t the way we wanted but it was a win. A little tweaking here or there and we’re a strong team. We re strong. It’s hard to imagine we could be better lol but we can be. Great game. Saturday against the Avs is going to be SPICY! Let’s go Stars!!
I was disappointed in that 3ed period the Jets not only scored goals quickly, they did it while the Stars had the power play
I absolutely loved what I saw yesterday. Sure they got careless at the end but that can easily be corrected. It doesn’t take away the domination I saw for 50 min.
If Nils Lundkvist can play like that, the 2nd pair RHD suddenly becomes a huge strength for this team instead of a glaring weakness.
How well did Jake Oettinger play?? He looked like he played well. The thing I noticed is that after the Stars scored 5 goals that they let them crawl back within one so keeping and holding a lead is something they need to work on in my opinion.
