The second game of the Sharks’ 2025-26 season was like déjà vu all over again. That’s because Team Teal was on the verge of a win in regulation only to see the Ducks tie it up with the extra skater to force overtime. In the extra session, a turnover by Macklin Celebrini in the Ducks’ zone led to a breakaway and the game winning goal scored by Leo Carlsson. Instead of being 2-0, the Sharks have two overtime losses. Their next game is Tuesday night, when they host the Carolina Hurricanes.
