The San Jose Sharks in their 2025-26 season opener hosted the Vegas Golden Knights. Team Teal led Vegas 2-1 and 3-2 but Goalie Alex Nedeljkovic made some mistakes leading to the game tying goal and then skated out near the blue line trying to poke the puck away and Vegas ended up scoring easily for the game winner. In the loss, goals for Jeff Skinner, Alexander Wennberg, and Philipp Kurashev. Sharks are back on home ice, Saturday to host the Anaheim Ducks
