Pretty clear unless you are an offensive d-man dancing all over the ice you have no place in this lineup according to Marty. To bad that will never get us anywhere in the playoffs
1:55 That Marty St-Louis claimed that has had played “a solid game” is interesting to say the least. Certainly through 40:00 the game had been a dogfight at 2–2, with a 3-2 deficit, thanks to a goal by Morgan Rielly (from Matt Knies and Mattias Maccelli) at the 9:02 mark of period 3, still surmountable. Yet the Habs never scored in that last period, something that would ultimately lead to a 5-2 loss after an unsuccessful pull of Sam Montembeault to try to generate some offense. there is after all such a thing as a 60-minute game, something that happens didn’t play that well over at Scotiabank Arena. Maybe at Little Caesars Arena against the Red Wings the Habs will notch things up a little bit because otherwise those Habs will be heading out of Southeastern Michigan with no regular-season standings point over two relevant games.
You guys know what happened. We lost in a goaltenders battle, against the leafs.
I just wanna add, I liked what I saw from Newhook, and what I have been seeing. Matheson also looked great. A big factor was also Rielly stepping up and scoring. He could have had two or maybe three. He looked dangerous and finally broke through when it mattered. We added to our defence, getting another offensive weapon at D, and then Rielly stepped up and had a huge game for the leafs. He was awesome, so was Stolarz

Habs can score but can’t keep it out of their net. Arber the siv
C'était tout un match du CH! Malchance, c'est tout!
Many mistakes you saw a team with heart on the last preseason game yet your line up sucked ass
Habs didnt capitalize tonight on there chances,
Few mistakes on D, but overall not a bad start. Regroup win tomorrow
Have been saying this for a while.
Samuel Montembeault is NOT a Number 1 goaltender. Never has been, never will be.
