  1. You and your fucking media friends crowed about how much better the Leafs would be by spreading Marner's cap around. You cried and cried and laid it all at his feet in the playoffs. Now EVERY METRIC sucks. And you're upset after a loss this bad? YOU WANTED THIS.
And now you're talking about AUSTON????? You want to run him out now too? Fucking CHRIST.

  2. OEL was brutal in this one, he didn’t seem to care at all when there was a forward between him and the goalie. Just friggin stood there

  3. Hate to admit it but yer bang on with these fucked up lines. Joshua? Who.. all I see is an empty sweater skating around, when he's even that noticeable.

  4. Somehow can make the Wings look like the 80s Oilers. Zero effort to keep attacking after they went up 2-0 and they got what they deserved. Idiots.

  5. Ugh, Leaf fans are so insufferable! I may be a Canucks fan, and we definitely have ‘issues’, but Toronto fans? Deluded, always planning the parade after a win; and plotting a rebuild after a loss.

  6. Billions of years from now, when the sun expands to consume the Earth, the Leafs will still be trapped in their own end.

  7. 12:02 glad you called this out. I’ve been in denial for years about his lack of grit in these situations.
Postseason proves year after year that it’s will over skill and our captain has zero desire to engage in this facet of the game. Im not asking the man to concuss his opponent or drop the mitts on the regular, but at least have the nerve to enter a scrum to give or take a face wash.

  8. It's not too early. That game STUNK. The Leafs stunk. No fight. No grit. No push back. Just rolled over and died. I've been watching the Leafs for 5 decades now. I'm sick of this garbage.

  9. Matthews getting ‘C’ I have been asking Why?? From day one. Tavares was perfect for the ‘C’ as he was captain and aging starcwho still did job well. Things were fine. Matthews hasn’t been very good since he scored 69 and then got the C. One empty netter in two games. He had six in two games two years ago. He usually very good every other season and is supposed to score more than 50 this year. We will see. Marner us so so after three in Vegas. No goals. I really don’t want to have a strong opinion before all teams have played 10 games…

  10. I remember a LFR when you say how the first 20 games set the tone for the year. I know it’s only 2 games but I am worried by what I seeing.

  11. What’s weird is thanks to Steve I know the Toronto line up basically as well as my Wings…made it feel kinda weird tbh

  12. Leafs defence is old and slow
Dealing all their first round picks means we have no young replacements. And if we did , they would already be designated trade chips or sweeteners. Shame on all the management.

  13. Mathews does so many great things. The one thing that he should not be is the Leafs captain. Looking into past great captains like Sittler, Gilmour, Clark. What did they have in common besides being the best player on their team? Heart, pure & simple. Any of their linemates are getting roughed up(Knies last night), they would step in and raise hell. Mathews? He might grab another player but laughs while he's leaving without even a punch, tossing of the opposition around or making his presence known. As I said again, Mathews is pure talent but that doesn't always show leadership. Maybe try Reilly or reinstate JT back to being the captain?

This is no excuse but I found this on a different article. We need to improve on this if we have any chance of getting better.

The Leafs have historically been very average in the first month of the season, and by historically, I mean over the past couple of years. Last season they were 6-4-1 in the month of October, the year before they were 5-3-1, and the year before that they were 4-4-2. Pair that with the fact that half of the forward group is new, and you should probably brace for some tough games to watch as we kick off a fresh season.

  14. The Leafs were outplayed because the Wings were WAY faster. Leafs look slow. While it takes time to gel with new players Treliving added slow heavy type players and bombed out on adding skill players as well. They got lucky against Habs, as well Stolartz stole them a game. So far including exhibition games this year they have been OUTSKATED!. The only games they had any speed was when the Marlies players played in the preseason games.

  15. I know this is about the Leafs, but how many of you are secretly monitoring Mitch Marner and the Knights? How many are hoping he will do well?😊😊
