Thoughts on Mark Schiefele saying he’s excited to have ‘his winger’ locked up? I thought we were done with relationships over results.
I was at this game..I question some of Arneil decisions..he had Stanley against kopitor way too often..
Thanks Nik and Mikey.. great show, I had Thanksgiving day so only got to watch your show later.
I watched parts of the game but not the entire thing so I will put my 3 stars as:
1. Scheifele– he's playing for his dad this year, it's clear to see. Grief is a motivating factor.
2. Helle– he knows right now he's got to be the hero every night, if possible and he's been really good, and today was no exception.
3. Jonathan Toews— he's impacting every single game. By his faceoffs, by his positioning on the ice. Can see he's well aware that he's on the wrong side of 30 as far as speed goes, but between his back checks and faceoffs and his defensive work, he's a difference maker in every way but scoring. And the scoring will come, I'm sure of it. His pedigree is obvious.
Honourable mention to our D pairs today too, and Barron… he's having fun and getting opportunities out there and making a difference too.
By the way, Nik… you also get special mention.. I know the battle you're fighting and you're here, driving discussion with Mikey after every game… take care of yourself, my friend. You're still in my prayers.
