  1. un-REAL. What a game.

Ideally you'd DEFINITELY want to score on more of those powerplays, though. That's probably my one concern about this current Habs lineup. I think it needs a mixup.

Aside from that, a great 2pts. 4/6 possible, 3rd in the Atlantic, and a ton of momentum, coming back to the Bell Centre. Looking forward to it.

  2. is it just me, or am i alone wanting Laine on PP1, just more of a threat and feels like the opposing PK has to respect the shot…… i guess they did ok, but looked kinda meh most of the time..and there was so much time

  3. Enough with Dobson on the first wave of the PP… Pay Hutson and put him back in charge of PP first wave… we all know they put dobson on first wave so Hutson dont make points… 10M is dirt cheap for Hutson and he will take 9.5M just give it To him man… that called picking up nickel by steping over dollars…

  4. Played their worst game so far. Luckily Chicago is bad. About the powerplay, I think Slaf is better suited in front of the net. I'm aware Bolduc was successful in that spot with the Blues, and we're lucky to have Bolduc.

  5. Bolduc is the biggest surprise so far. Was expecting a decent season overall, but he's killing it! MTL's playstyle really seems to suit him

  6. Boys Suzuki was gliding tonight low effort. Laine is horrible. Dach did nothing. Slav was clumsy tonight but got a goal.
Bolduc, Anderson, Guhle, Hutson, Demidov, Dobson, Matheson, Carrier all moving their legs. Power play too much puck passing with no set up shots. Got the win at the end but not the best effort.

  7. PP is static and predictable. Get Slaf in front of the net. Knight could see everything. Put Arber on the PP2 and get his body in front of the net.

  8. A win. Chicago with no discipline sure helped. Lots to glow about but there’s some concerns. Didn’t see all of the game. Kapanen with such low ice time? Demidov so low? And Laine is irrelevant. Evan’s line is a minus line right now. Not just plus minus but actual impact. They do nothing. Concerned a bit. And Hutson continues to turn the puck over all the time. Every game twice? Or more. He’s no playing well. Nor is Demidov. X is getting no ice time and already lost his penalty kill spot to Dobson the last two games. Yikes. Doesn’t hide well for his future. Frankly, if that the case, time for Struble to get a shot. If X can’t penalty kill and is going to get 7 minutes. Then sit him.

  9. It looks like Hutson is trying less hard than last season… Im assuming because of his contract issue. Dude just stop trying

  10. We still desperately need a 2C. Until we bring one in, we're gonna be doing a lot of barely squeaking out wins where we should have won by a field goal.

  11. The amount of times that the Habs traded an underperforming player who ended up a solid top 6… it's about time we got a similar deal. Bolduc numbers were still good in St Louis, but maybe he just didn't gel with the coach and trainers? Who knows. I'm happy he's at home with the Habs.

  12. I was at the game tonight. My wife's first nhl hockey game. She was happy it didn't go to overtime. So many penalties against Chicago. We should have won by a couple more goals. Love bolduc. And it was great to see Hudson making those shifty moves on the blue line. Most Guys just don't have any idea which way he is going to go.

  13. Bullshit win.. Slash on Bertuzzi in the final minute. Hawks should have been on the powerplay, not 5 in 5.. Enjoy your ref assisted win..

  14. Considering how many powerplays the Habs had for opportunities, they should have had at least one or two more. PP unit 2 has not scored yet. Bolduc has been that X factor that is helping the Habs drive. Still hard to say about faceoffs overall in the first 3 games, but if they can compensate by blitzing their opponents a lot…

  15. Power play is way too stationary. Doesnt create any options of attack. The only movement is Lane Hutson sliding along the blue line. Very easy to defend the passing lanes if everyone’s standing still.

  16. Ahoj ALL,
Why was I watching PLAYOF GAME 3rd day into the new season?!?! what a game!

  17. I know it is early but I looked at the standings and we are ahead of Toronto who are in a wildcard spot 🤣 Great effort from the whole team! Keep the faith and Go Habs Go!

  18. Habs gotta figure out their PP for sure, that was a little disappointing last night, too much passing looking for the perfect play

  19. Hot take! Bolduc gets 82 goals this season 😂

But seriously, even if he didn’t have a goal yet, love the way he plays

  20. Love the honest game that Bolduc plays. Good on backcheck and forecheck. Love the physical play as well.
