Good call by coaching to start Pickard. Pickard looked good in pre-season, better than Stu – understandably they gave Stu the opportunity to show why/if he is going to be lead man this year by starting him in game 1. Clearly he's not ready to do that so they essentially give that opportunity to Pickard tonight, Pickard is the underdog however so his leash is much shorter – if he wants lead role this year it's up for grabs but his numbers need to be a magnitude higher than expectations (both of himself and of Stu)
