  1. Shep has been incredible with this defense. I'll be honest, between injury and inexperience, I didn't have a lot of confidence in our defense coming into this season. That said, this man has shown that he not only has the ability to run this defense just as well as AG, but maybe even better. Yes, time will tell but so far from what we've seen, this man absolutely has what it takes to lead our defense to a Superbowl win. And even if he never does, I'll just be glad not to see someone like Puka destroying an amazing defense because the DC refuses to trust his players and run some man defense rather than those stupid zone schemes he always tried to run.

  2. Something I really appreciate is how they are always talking up the coaches under them
Like the DC constantly giving credit to a specific position group coach
Just such a great culture they’ve built over there

  3. This guy never even contemplates shouting out people for doing a great job and that's everybody in this organization. I love Kelvin Sheppard man.

  4. Not only will I run through a brick wall for DC, but the brick wall does have a chance when Shep is on the mic.

  5. My favorite part about watching JC progress is the fact that Anzalone has not only let him kind of take the reigns with grace but he is still leading and teaching JC!!

Lions are gonna have the best LBer unit in the league by the end of the season!

  6. Shep – do us all a favor and stick around for a couple of years before you go get that HC job that they are going to start interviewing you for this offseason. GO LIONS

  7. It still amazes me that other staffs haven’t fully copied the Lion’s model of hiring a bunch of former players to be position coaches. Rookies gravitate to guys like that for their experience
