In this edition of Locked on Capitals Dan talks about Alex Ovechkin and him being out of the lineup for the foreseeable future. All we know right now for sure is that he went home to deal with a family matter. It’s being said that it has to do with an illness to his father. The Capitals are in must win mode and they’re doing it without their leading gaol scorer. Family come first that for sure, but it’s tough on the Capitals as the remaining games this season are must win games. Later Dan talks about Anthony Mantha’s game and that even though hedidn’t really show up on the score sheet his game is showing some improvement. In the last segment Dan talks about the Caps/Canes game and that Joe Snively, TJ Oshie and Darcy Kuemper were bright spots in a losing effort

That game against Washington was b.s. The officiating was horrible. So many missed calls in that game. And why can't the Capitals just score a darned pp goal with #8 ? This is bananas
Oh no! I wishing OV the best. Yes we will have to adjust but it’s not like we don’t have other good players in the mean time. We need some of our guys our young guys maybe to step up. I think it could definitely have an effect on the play offs however like you say family does come first and it’s not like we’re out yet so. Keep pushing on Caps!
