  1. Sense to me you have to score adjust for advanced statistics. Because if you’re sitting on a lead, it doesn’t tell the story.

  2. Leafs were very lucky to win that 1st game. They will be hard pressed to make the playoffs with that sluggish defense. Someone needs to take Laine's dog ransom. He needs some edge.

  3. Really looking good for this early …in the season .!! These guys are going to make a big move this year !! So young yet so skilled ..WOW !!

  4. I also noticed that Toronto and Detroit were able to play possession against us. Detroit for some reason, tried to play our game with puck movement and that is when we got our chances. They don’t really have that kind of a team, especially in their bottom six. I’m a bit worried about our size and toughness though moving forward and for God sake, get Laine and Demidov the top power play. Let’s not have a repeat of last year when Hutson languished all those months for no reason. We need to be winning all these games early on. I like our coaching though it’s not a criticism they know exactly what they are doing.

  5. That's the key though – even at 100%, will Dach be able to win faceoffs? If not, he's not the answer.

  6. I hope Hutson gets over $9M. A tad over L. Hughes and LaCombe, so it doesn’t look like he got stiff armed. We want him to be happy and a savings of a couple of hundred thousand dollars per year in the long run will be meaningless.

  7. Mike Matheson will also be playing more reasonable amounts of time. That will help alot. They need to work on their face-offs. GHG

  8. I agree with Marco, Laine has been a better player this year. He back checks, and I think he has been good along the boards. We stick Laine on the fourth line, and take him off the first wave of the PP. He plays with Evans and Anderson, not exactly top tier offensive players and people are upset because he hasn't scored in the first 2 games??? What did we expect? What a tough crowd.

  9. Every time I see Dobes play I think of Patrick Roy . His quickness , style and confidence . This whole team has a great overall level of chemistry that is a difficult energy to create . Because of that they will get stronger as the season progresses . Thanks guys

  10. Mailoux was -2 but did anyone see the goals ? Not his fault, also he had a few nice defensive play's in the highlights. I think in the end, both teams will win this trade.

  11. We all agree the Habs have numerous players with names that are difficult to pronounce. I think Shaun and Marco should take a little time to discuss the various pronunciations and come to an agreement about how you will BOTH says the names during the show. Clearly, you've already started the process, however, names like Bolduc are still way out in left field.

  12. Damn if the Habs win 3-1 and Suzuki has his first goal I guess that means Demidov still doesn't score 😞 (the other two goals are the mandatory Bolduc and Kapanen goals)

  13. I cannot recall seeing a more sour-looking face than that of Detroit's coach Todd McClellan. He looks like he has a huge grudge against the World. Former Calgary coach Darryl Sutter comes close, but Todd takes the cake.
