Funny, you use xgf% to say the 2nd line was horrible then turn around and say frederic is horrible on line 1 even though they had an xgf of 92.01% lol. Be consistent with how you use analytics at least
How many times do we need to see a goalie make so many mental mistakes at key moments, hoping he changes instead of making a change of your top goalie?

I said at the beginning of the season if Stu Skinner doesn't go 9 out of 10 wins trade him. WELLLLL we have Connor Ingram shaking the rust off and it will give us the time to find a trade partner for Stu. We have had enough patience and we gave him a new goalie coach so no more excuses.

The Podz-Philp-Kappy line all had an xGF% of .5 or higher. I personally like Podkolzin’s game. He had that moment where he kind powered his way through the Flames defence and managed to get a good shot off on Wolf. I think Knob should separate McDrai and give Podzilla some more icetime with Draisaitl.

his failed "dangle" all alone in the ozone while his team was changing led to a goal against
It looked like he also took some cheap shots on that Flamer who was battling with him in front of the net during a particular sequence; the Flame went off in some agony probably from whiplash or back/neck injury from being cross checked so hard (and again and again) – that should have been a penalty against Oilers.
So once again D Nurse showing his ugly side this is the part of his game that is worst for me – often hear on this channel how he had a solid season last year after coming back from the concussion but I would kindly disagree for this very point right here; while he has periods of solid play and even moments of glory like the patented slow floating but surprisingly accurate wrister that makes its way to the back of the net, he often is making dirty plays, barking at the ref when he actually gets called on them, or doing perplexing things like that dipsy dangle he tried last night.
No over reaction. Oilers fans have a legitimate reason to question Skinner.

Edmonton still has to fix their PK. It buried them against Florida. That plus the goaltending are Edmontons biggest weaknesses.

Stu needs to simply be relegated to the definitive back up goalie position taking the net no more than 30 starts per season. Its not in his make up.
But goalies take longer to develop and hes only 26 years… shut the eff up! We've seen enough to know this guys ceiling is not that of a Vasilevsky or Bobrovsky and thats what championship franchises have. Thank you Connor for having the werewithal to bail out this terribly managed organization. Now we can afford to get a starter if Ingram isnt the guy. Damn. Imagine we had Wolf? Either Skinner is the most unluckiest goalie in the NHL or he's just legitimately bad. Hard to believe Oilers management hasn't figured this out yet. Unlucky or just bad?
