Been a long time since this veteran hockey watcher saw such a despicable display of head hunting than the one in an exhibition game between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Florida Panthers. Panthers are no choir boys, but TB HC Jon Cooper brought up the goon squad to deliver nothing more than injuries to the Panthers in payback for last year’s Stanley Cup Playoffs loss. Payback will be a bitch, and other teams should take the hint.
