“We Weren’t Sharp” | Lindy Ruff After Loss To New York Rangers In Home Opener | Buffalo Sabres

Buffalo Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff spoke to the media after a 4-0 loss to the New York Rangers in the season opener. Ruff gave injury updates on Josh Norris, Zach Benson and Owen Power and talked about what the team needs to work on before their next game. He also discussed the team’s struggles on the power play and face-offs and what he’s expecting to fix heading into the next game against the Bruins.

    WHERE SO SABRES FANS GET THE GALL TO CALL OUT GMKA? It was a tough loss but these battle scarred ice warriors looked very solid. It’s so blatantly obvious that GMKAs vision is finally coming to fruition through his phenomenal acquisitions in recent years. No other GM could have done what he has accomplished this offseason. This drought is 100% coming to an end soon. Enough with the GMKA slander. It’s cruel and downright disgusting. Kudos to you GMKA and thank you for making me excited about Sabres hockey again…it’s about time.

    Norris hurt. 🤦‍♂️ Glad we tossed in this years 2nd round pick in that trade. To a division rival no less. Adams throwing away 2nd round picks is baffling.

    Why do we have so much invested in players like Greenway and Norris who are constantly injured. Norris won’t play 100 games in a Sabres uniform,terrible trade…

    I know it's only one loss but that has to be the Last Loss the Buffalo Sabres Organization has to make a Tough Love decions to End has tenure as Buffalo sabres general manger " Buffalo Sabres gotta remain puck possession stay focused & stay optimistic" once the few guys For Buffalo Sabres are totally healthy Sabres misfortunes will turn around

    Norris was supposed to be our good faceoff guy and he got worked , plus he got injured, honestly i'd trade him away at this point try and recoop some thing for him…I bet he's ganna be out a long time..

    Thompsons ganna hve to play number 1 center and bring Kulich or Tuch up too the wing, they can make it work on Offense without Norris but Idk if they can make it work on the blueline without Owen Power AND Kesselring, one of them is bad but both is really bad, that's a whole pair just not playing.
