Well, Mr. reporter- Our forward core is barely NHL passable as a whole defensively. Our defensive core has two, possibly three dmen worthy of the NHL from a defensive aspect and offensive aspect, and the rest belong in the AHL. And then we have a career back up would’ve saved percentage around 900 and a starter goalie that hasn’t reached the same percentage of 900. We’re going to get the shit kicked out of us Chuck. Ive heard people dont like Jett and Grebenkin not going in game one, I'm fine with it. Let the veterans play the season opener, it might be Delo's last season with us, anything could happen with Hathaway as well come deadline time… Abols has earned it, is older than other newcomers, and has more ability than people are letting on, he should be there. Finally, Florida is not a team to let beat up on your 2 new prospects if the plan is "deploy as often as possible while still somewhat protecting them". Game 2 vs Carolina is a better matchup to let them both get their first game in.
Tocchet is the man and he is just what the Flyers needed! He is a Flyer people. Let's all of us back him. Real Flyers fans are always for our team and know we have a good man. Let's all put positive energy towards him and the team. It's time for the Flyers to win the Stanley Cup. They will do it with us behind them. I can't wait for next 2 to 3 years.
I am a Florida Native Granny and I am also a lifetime Flyers fan! I will be watching when our team kicks their asses down in S. Florida. I feel the Panthers will be extinct this year. 100 % Flyers people! You all need to back me up or at least back the team including coach Tocchet. Just saying
I am very confident With this coaching staff, to lead us to more winning seasons. It’s going to take time, we need to be patient again, but I strongly believe this time it’s going to work. Go Flyers from Ottawa Canada 😀👍
Flyers are the Cleveland Browns of the NHL. They need to get generational talent, elite 2 way players and superior goaltending but the Flyers don't know how to build that type of team. They will build a team that is exciting with Mich and Zegras, get people excited and in the seats and than do what they do best, play crap defense with backup goalies, sound familiar? Just tank already, if you are not in the top 2 draft, you have nothing to build on. They got Mich only because no one wanted to a chance.
A team full of Zegras and Mitch is exciting but would go nowhere, elite talent and defense is all that matters and Mitch and Zegra are not elite players. But the team is happy not to be playing for Torts (crybabies with no real idea what it takes to win consistently) so they can possibly win vs Florida or get hammered, that's what teams with bad defense and goalies and no elite talent do, inconsistent!
