The lack of center depth in the pre season is exposing the forward lines with defense.. Look at the three names out- Cooley, Hayton, McBain. Cooley is obviously offensive but I think has a solid two way game. The other two I would argue are more defensively minded.. Hoping when they return it fills the gaps

I’m with Tom in regards to the coaching. Being new to hockey since the team moved here I would watch games and I could just see something missing. Being unfamiliar with the game I couldn’t really put my finger on it. But I went to the Panthers game in SLC last year and you could just FEEL the difference in how they played the game vs how Utah did last season. Hoping we can get things figured out on defense to make the push towards the playoffs this year!
This analysis much more aligns with what I have been seeing. You were both kind of high on Utah after they won against the Kings, but I commented on the last video that I had some concerns. This time it seems you are noticing the same things. I specifically mentioned Sergachev. He did look better against the Sharks but defensively the team has issues. I also in my last comment mentioned the lack of a system and it is cool to hear you use the same term in this video Tom. I am on the pessimistic side of things at the moment. I would say Tourigny is in the hot seat a bit if things go south. But yeah, Tanev's goal! Nice to see the offense finally explode. First time scoring more than 2 goals all preseason.
