I had listen to a few podcasts and TSN plus sportsnet , everyone of them are having the same predictions 1. Extremely confident with the Leafs, all of them including your podcast is analysing the Leafs with an all optimistic expectation 2. Everyone is saying the Leafs will be at least be at second in the division 3. 100% in the playoffs, I am not a professional as they are however I don’t agree with their Analysis at all, although I am not a fan of the Habs however I project they will have more points than the Leafs and I have confidence the Red Wings will be better than last year and they will make the playoffs, I project my favourite team the Leafs will be fighting for the wildcard. I highly recommend for anyone who read this message will bet heavily for the Habs to win on the opening date against the Leafs. Hope the Leafs will proof me wrong Cheers
The argument of going to your boss and asking for less is not apples to apples because there is a precise salary cap in the NHL and unwise use of it results in a lack of depth, which leads to less success.
People need to stop conflating professional athlete’s taking less to win with the average Joe taking less in their 9-5 to help the company. It’s a lazy analogy that doesn’t hold up at all. Please stop, it makes you look silly.

You are 100% right with Cowan. They want to Surround him with not 1 but 2 sandpaper guys like Lorentz and Laughton. As for Woll… we need to get real with the fact that Woll is long term. No player misses this much time for a family illness etc. I am not trying to take away from his privacy but this has to be a mental health issue, a substance abuse issue that the leafs didn't want him in the program or an internal issue of some sort which is a 1% chance. Regardless it's going to be a very long spring.
I think its funny when people say its about time the players get paid and the owners don't make as much. The players making more doesn't reduce the owners profit, it just makes them increase ticket prices to make the same profit. Increased players salaries only give the owners a reason to say why they raised prices on everything.
