  1. McAvoy is not worth keeping. He has never played as agressive or as well as he did for team USA with the Bruins. Not too mention he is always injured even before this. He has never played more than 70 games in a season, except once. He is one of our highest paid stars and he's basically another Adam McQuaid when it comes to injuries.

  2. Looks like they didn’t clean the wound after the injection and that’s what probably caused all this

  3. I’ve had an infection in my head/deep inner ear and the doctors still don’t know what it was 6 years later. I know what mcavoy felt like during that time, it’s scary, if the experts don’t know what to think neither do you. Wish him the best bc there’s still a mental recovery period to get thru.

  4. My husband hit his thumb with a hammer, broke the nail bed, and over a few weeks the staph bacteria found its way into his body, set up shop in his spine . It almost killed him. He was a combat soldier, so a pretty tough guy, and he was in so much pain that he was crying like a baby. Sobbing. There’s no pain like a staph infection. He lost 60 pounds in a very short amount of time, had debridement surgery on his spine. Was sent home with a walker & a picc line that ran strong antibiotics 24/7. He had to learn how to walk again since the bacteria ate his psoas muscle, hip joint, & quad on his right leg. It took my husband an entire year to feel somewhat like himself again. It was traumatic for him, me, & the kids. My heart goes out to Charlie and I urge him to see a sports psychologist to talk about this traumatic experience. Staph infections are not your average infection. Poor guy.
