  1. I’m with ya on the positivity! If healthy, our devils should be a top ten team in the league. Top 3 team in the east. LGD!

  2. Cannot wait until tomorrows game a win would be sweet. Had a good laugh watching the Rangers last night. Lets Go Devils!

  3. These are my ideal healthy devils forward lines that I want to see at some point.

    Bratt, J. Hughes, Mercer
(I can’t ever see Bratt and Hughes being broken up because of their existing speed and chemistry, but one issue they have is their hesitance to shoot. Mercer has previously played well with our top players and can serve as a much needed shot first f3 on this line. Mercer has the speed to somewhat keep up with this line and this line allows him to play RW, which he is significantly more comfortable playing. This line is an ideal line when transitioning or moving the puck between zones.)

    Noesen, Hischier, Meier
(Similar to Jack and Bratt, Hischier and Meier are another duo that have existing chemistry. Both forwards, unlike Jack and Bratt will not hesitate to shoot, making their line a good fit for Noesen, who specializes in deflections, tips, and a strong net front presence. This line could be effective in both ends of the ice, and can be used to maintain pressure in the offensive zone extremely effectively after being the puck is carried in by other rush oriented lines.)

    Palat, Glass, Brown
(From what we have seen as well as what the Devils coaching staff have seen, this trio has already developed chemistry. All 3 players are responsible defensively. This line can hopefully pull the best out of Palat and serve as a solid checking 3rd line with occasional offensive contributions. While the other lines focus more on transitioning the puck through the zone or maintaining offensive pressure, this line could be extremely effective against any offensive advancements by opposing teams.)

    Dadonov, Cotter, Gritsyuk
(Originally, I had swapped Dadonov and Noesen, but I see more potential chemistry with this combination. I don’t think Noesen would benefit from being the 3rd forward on a rush oriented line because he thrives net front, so playing him with 2 players who can hold the zone more effectively and generate shots in the zone gives Noesen more opportunity to benefit as a net front presence. Dadonov is relatively fast and has a good shot and hockey IQ. This gives him potential to perform very well on this rush line. Additionally, his ability to communicate in Russian with Gritsyuk, who is also on this line could help his development. Gritsyuk and Cotter have already shown great chemistry as skilled forwards who can play well in a depth role and finish off the rush. This fast, skilled, somewhat physical 4th line could be a nightmare matchup for other 4th lines league wide. This line would require Cotter to play center as opposed to LW, but he has played center in the past.)

    Glendening
(Versatile 13th forward with strong faceoffs and responsible play)

  4. Lots of storylines to be excited about this season. Disappointed that my favorite player Kovy is going to be injured for so long but plenty of others to keep an eye on. Brown, Grits, and Dadonov for me specifically.

Also where's Noesen going to go in the lineup when he's back from injury?

  5. I love how he says I love talking to most of you LOL. But I agree with him, I'm part of a Devils fan page on Facebook and so many people on there are so insufferable. I love the Devils but my God there are so many stupid bastards out there LOL.

  6. Healthy devils team, with skill, veterans, depth and chemistry presence on this team and with the panthers injuries, THIS NEEDS TO BE OUR YEAR. Enough of this make a “deep run”, cup or bust with this team we have !!

  7. I’m with you Ace, positivity! No reason to be doomer before puck drop come on. One day!!!! I’m so excited. I think the lethalness of grits+cotter is too good I have a feeling that line will be scoring a lot of goals, especially against other fourth lines.

  8. The more the offseason progresses the more I love the brown and Dadonov pickups from Ditz, Brown especially I think js perfect for this team, brings exactly what we need.

  9. Yo, Ace…did you see that preseason game between the Panthers and Lightning? 312 penalty minutes. Absolute insanity. Idk about this season. I am hopeful with a full season of Keefe under their belt, they might be able to play better. On the other hand, I know Keefe has only made it to the 2nd round once. He has never won a cup. So idk…trying to stay positive….but no expectations, no let downs lol

  10. The Meier Militia cannot wait for the season opener tomorrow! We need these guys to healthy all season long from March #1 (October) all the way to March #6 (April), and if we can do that and stay consistent, hopefully Timo and the fellas still be playing hockey in March #8 (June). We'll see who's been hitting the gym during the Marches of summer.

  11. Ace great to see the devils recalled macewen. He will be wearing # 15. Not saying he will be playing but good to know we have some extra size and muscle.

  12. Ace, Let the healing begin! A victory tomorrow night would be a nice way to start the season and a good foot forward as the Devs try to run the gauntlet that is this seasons October schedule. I love that our fourth liners this year have the skill to play up unlike last year when it felt like our top six should really be placed lower in the line up. Like you say "Win or loose, we booze, but winning beers taste sweeter!" Let's Go Devils!

  13. 42-33-7 was last years team. Accounting for the amazing Oct-Dec 26, I still think this team can get 5 more wins overall even with that missing true top 6 winger.

    Let’s go Devils 🤘🏽
