This is Terrible. ESPN dropped a new offseason ranking, and Mitch Marner’s name was buried in the “losers” section. The label hit hard, the timing hit harder, and the reaction hasn’t stopped since. But what came next from fans, and inside Vegas, left analysts completely blindsided.
ESPN’s “Winners & Losers” column placed Mitch Marner in the “Losers” category this offseason, citing his public fallout after leaving Toronto and the pressure to live up to his new Vegas deal. The move followed Kirill Kaprizov’s record contract extension, which shifted contract expectations across the league. Analysts compared Marner’s deal to Kaprizov’s and suggested his contract might look less favorable in that light.

The word insane is really overused: pretty insane how insane everyone is about calling everything insane.
If both sides are happy at signing then nobody is a loser. He's out of loser Toronto. What more could he ask.
