October 6th, 2025 – Prospects, Pressure, and the Push to Win

The Winnipeg Jets have officially wrapped up training camp — and it’s been a grind, to say the least.

The biggest priority, above everything else, is coming out healthy… something that’s proven difficult so far.

With Cole Perfetti and Dylan Samberg sidelined long-term, and Adam Lowry still easing back — not to mention a few bumps and scares with Jonathan Toews and Dylan DeMelo — the road’s been rough. But with adversity comes opportunity.

Nikita Chibrikov, the 22-year-old fiery forward from Russia, has earned himself a look alongside Toews and Gustav Nyquist — and a two-year contract extension to go with it.

Has he truly claimed that spot ahead of Brad Lambert?
Meanwhile, Ville Heinola’s been placed on waivers — raising questions about whether he’s become a mismanaged asset for the organization.

And it all circles back to one big question: How do the Jets balance developing their young talent while staying locked in as a legitimate Stanley Cup contender?

Oh, and some guy named Conor McDavid signed….

All that and more on today’s edition of Jets @ Noon!

  1. Nobody should be able to tell you what to do in your life even if it’s under the guise of being for “the greater good”. Nobody told Anaheim to pay Lacombe more than Crosby that was their choice so boohoo if they feel slighted.

  2. What are you so pissed off about who cares if he didn’t take 17 million 12 million is a lot of money and he doesn’t need the money so what’s so ridiculous about it the guy is gonna end up making $200 million before everything said and done

  3. Minnesota is a basket case they’re so stupid the way they handled their contracts and they’ll never win
