Zadorov was saying it was the best camp of his career as far as the energy and pace of the team and coaching staff go. Hopefully we get off to a way better start than last year
Good season preview. My expectations are nil for this year. Im just hoping to see the guys play hard and the youth hopefully work their way into the line up. I was hoping it would be a bridge year aiming for a top ten pick and getting all the young guys experience but maybe i get surprised and aiming for a wildcard spot will work out for us.
Itās a reminder though how hit or miss the draft is. Everyone always gets excited about draft picks and thatās funā¦but high impact players are exceptional no matter what round they are drafted in. Most draft picks donāt live up to the high expectations. Thatās just the reality.
Iām at the point where I hope we do good but if we donāt, and itās real real bad, we do enter the mckenna sweepstakes which is great in the long run but yeah I hate the tank show and donāt want that garbage but if we are that brutal itleast we got a loaded draft coming up have the chance for a generational talent, paired with hagens and free agency money one can dream hahahah, but again Iād obviously rather us be a competitive team. But if there was a single year for us to be absolutely trash weāre looking at the season, we all need to hope and pray nobody gets hurt at the Olympics because we will be absolutely fked, but seasons just starting enough of the negative, the season is upon us š
I guess for me, I don't think I saw enough out of Khusnutdinov, so I would have just had Eyssimont or Jeannot on the 4th, and Poitras on the 3rd on the wing… and then I would have tried to trade Khusnutdinov or Beecher for something instead of waiving them.
I feel thereās no way Beecher or Viel made this team over Brumel. Even if it was them going more on ādefenseā, which then makes me think why is Lohrei still on the team because his defense sucks. Heās a forward plain and simple.
I like to be optimistic and hope for entertaining hockey to watch from the Bs this season (if not, hopefully UMaine will still be really good, that is my backup or AHL,) but after watching Brazeau get 2 with the Pens tonight, I still hate Sweeney a little here and there…..
Getting back to playing tougher like the Bruins of old is not a bad thing. Preseason showed us a faster team as well with some decent young talent like Eyssimont. If we can get another line or two producing and Swayman shows up we'll do alright. Big Zadorov can't wait for this season to start….and neither can I. Go Bruins.
i am not big on fabain lysell ,i never been .im sad about pottsy but i get it . i do think shawn is a mistake but will see.i saw a lot of good things during practice .will see i love my bs no matter what will see go bs!
Remember JT his first three years. He was brutal but the Bruins nurtured him. Now the Bruins are killing our youth. I Hope they demand a trade. You donāt make a team in three preseason games playing beside stiffs.
Defense and goaltending has to be absolutely stellar this season if we want to truly compete for a playoff spot. But certainly agree the pressure if off this year. If we make a push for a playoff spot, amazing. If weāre on the hunt for a lottery pick, then itās more or less what we expected.
Have fun. Enjoy the wins. Losses are gonna be frustrating, but love the Bās no matter what. Weāre back baby, Go Bās.
Any thoughts on the brutal way the NHL is heading? In the NAHL, do I play the 5 10 skilled player or the 6 3 bruiser… I want a skilled team, but the refs dont call people running people… if the League doesnt enforce rules, then skill loses out….
I actually really don't like how they brought back kuraly, felt like they could have just gone internally to fill that spot. I was thinking of having a 4th of jeannot, kastelic and eyssimont. Then maybe put in blumel or poitras somewhere and have khusnidinov as an extra as well. But my expectations are low for this team, I think they're going to see how they perform early and then go from there and make the changes they need to.
Every season I get excited and hopeful, but honestly I'm pretty tired of the management. Let's see how it goes, they had great presence during the preseason so… hoping for the best. (Boston Bruins do something for my mental health I CANNOT TAKE ANOTHER YEAR LIKE LAST YEAR FFS)
So, they found about, maybe, 2 or 3 decent NHLer's out of 14 forwards taken in the first 3 rounds. And basically 0 first-line forwards… And all those guys have now been traded or left in free agency, unless you consider Beecher among those, which I don't think I would considering he didn't crack the opening night lineup this season…
They have as many certified busts that never even played a single NHL game in those rounds as they have hits (Not even counting Pelosi or Letourneau yet)
