Trust me the main ones (if not the only ones) who hate you are fans who you have recently dominated from TB to Toronto to Edmonton to Boston to Carolina.
Blackhawks fan of 40yrs and Panthers since Chucky got there in 2022 my fav non Blackhawks team since Gretzky’s Kings when I was a kid. I also liked Selanne’s Ducks in 90s to 2007 when he got his cup.
Fans of hockey and on/off ice team culture love the way Panthers play, but teams who they’ve owned since 2023 playoffs despise them bc they know how elite they truly are.
PS what doesn’t feel right is they’re literally missing their 2 best skaters and future HOFers in the heart of their prime on top of the fact no team has made 4 cup finals in a row in 40+ years nevermind won 3 cups in a row in 40+ years (early to mid 80s Islanders).
PSS it’s not tax free it’s no income tax on home games only. 15/20 titles won in salary cap era were in cities that HAD income taxes! Also Canadian players get paid in U.S. dollars which is an advantage too!
Greer going after Hagel like that in a preseason game was the catalyst. The “it was for Barky” crowd seem to forget or dismiss that debt was paid in full…maybe even with a little overkill.
Expect this with other teams to target your guys now as well. Maurice needs to rein this in…
