McDavid Takes Less — But the Habs Say NO to Hutson!
Connor McDavid shocks the hockey world — taking $12.5M per year for two more seasons to help the Oilers chase a Stanley Cup. Meanwhile, the Canadiens refuse to give Lane Hutson an 8-year deal under $9.5M. Is Kent Hughes protecting the team’s structure or making a big mistake?

Hughes knows he's job and will make Hudson and Habs happy!
Hughes needs to hold his ground and continued negotiations.
Hudson will force his way out of canada
Mcdavid did not commit to the Oilers. He gave them a time limit. Hutson is not getting more than 9.5.
It’s not Hughes responsibility to make ANY players personal situation better than the teams. He’s the manager of the team NOT a player agent. He better than anyone will know the difference.
