Will Kevin Korchinski & Lukas Reichel Be LEFT OFF the Blackhawks Roster?

Chicago Blackhawks young players Kevin Korchinski and Lukas Reichel haven’t had the NHL preseason that they would have hoped for and are now in danger of being left off the Blackhawks roster on opening night. Korchinski has moved up and down from the Rockford Icehogs in recent seasons while Reichel has failed to live up to his high prospect billing and could be the subject of trade rumors. We discuss on the CHGO Blackhawks Podcast.

  1. The Blackhawks stunted Korchinski’s growth by rushing him to the NHL at 19. There was no reason whatsoever to do that. He was a beaten young man after his rookie season.

  2. Korchinski is a forward, as a D he is thinking, but half the time I watched a IceHogs game. He looked his best when he was taking the puck across the line and pressing the game on the opponent.

  3. On the bright side, we gave up a 2x 40g scorer aged 24 for the draft picks that resulted in Korchinski and negligible loose change. All this talk about StanBo, who had his own problems, but Is this not the single worst trade in the entire Blackhawks Cap Era?
