NHL Trade News: Philadelphia Flyers Shake Up Defense with San Jose Deal



The Philadelphia Flyers have made a significant move, acquiring forward Carl Grundstrom and defenseman Artem Guryev from the San Jose Sharks. In exchange, the Flyers part ways with defenseman Ryan Ellis and a conditional sixth-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft.
Carl Grundstrom, a Swedish native, brings experience and a solid offensive presence to the Flyers. With 43 goals and 33 assists in his NHL career, he’s a valuable addition. Artem Guryev, a young defenseman, will join the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, the Flyers’ AHL affiliate.
