  1. Broz should be on the opening roster the kid played well since rookie camp but got sent down for Accairi, Dewar, Lazotte.

  2. I am still surprised pickering and broz are not on the roster. At least if the kids play, it will be entertaining. I did not want to see the group of acciari, lizotte, brazeau, dewar, kevin hayes (on IR) versus getting broz or avery hayes on the team. I dont care who they waive or trade from that older group. Is pickering's fate tied to if they trade karlsson? Same as St Ivany? Does poulin need a fresh start elsewhere? If the pens arent going to be a playoff team, play the kids and let it at least be fun to watch.

  3. Hot take but I think Kindel and Brunicke should be sent down to the WHL after a 9 (or less) game trial. They are arguably the 2 best prospects the Pens have, and rushing them is just too big a risk. Kindel can go back and be the best player on the Calgary Hitmen, then be the best player in WBS next year and when he's ready for the NHL, he can slot right into the top 6. No reason to play him on the 3rd line and against competition he can't face yet.

And I sincerely hope Brunicke turns out to be more than what Oli Maatta has been. He should be a top pairing guy, and again, playing him bottom pairing minutes against tough competition might make him lose confidence. Let him be the guy in WBS next season and call him up when he's ready. So what if they both learn "bad habits" in the WHL? They'll unlearn them just as quick, as you saw with Brunicke when he played for WBS at the end of the season.

  4. Horwarts breakdown of the division was pretty spot on imo. I can see the penguins having some glimpses of greatness but that goaltending is gonna hinder us. 6th in the division at best, we just need 72 to come west, not east.
