In last night’s NHL preseason matchup, Nashville Predators prospect Joakim Kemell delivered one of the hardest hits of the exhibition slate, leveling Carolina Hurricanes star Andrei Svechnikov with a massive open-ice check at center ice. The hit instantly grabbed the crowd’s attention, sparking a heated response from Sebastian Aho, who was assessed an unsportsmanlike penalty. Nashville capitalized, and Kemell himself capped the sequence by burying the overtime game-winner, turning his highlight hit into a game-defining moment. Fans are already buzzing about whether this hit could fuel a new rivalry and what it means for Svechnikov’s season.

Good clean check.
Carolina needs to start dropping the gloves and throwing some punches. If that was my teammate that got decked like that, I don't care if it was clean or not, it's on sight until retribution is given.
