we have a ton of centers, probably 2nd line, 3rd line C's on most teams. And lots of LW, some playing C.
Love to see Poitras at point make the team. BUT, I do think that he's bound for Providence to start. Hagens really is our next top prospect, but he's a couple years away. Maybe a year and a half if 26/27 looks like a playoff team.
I see lots of bottom 6 guys, and some 2nd line guys, but any real elite scoring forwards. Maybe Geekie is our next scoring guy. Maybe some of the kids, but, there's a lot of development that needs to happen first.
Maybe trade Mittelstadt at the Trade Deadline if they don't make the Playoffs?

Thinking that Eyssimont Kuraly Kastelic line might be interesting..
Yeah, Kuraly is older and slower, but his hockey vision is vintage fine wine
As long as the speed differential doesn't get them offsides calls.

But if there's any inkling of trading jeremy this season? we may be hanging on to 3 goalies.
With this crazy schedule, we should know something by halloween,

I'll be shocked if we don't see a ton of middle six line shuffling. When the team struggles to score, Sturm is going to be looking for a spark/chemistry.

Agree with you on Poitras, he has looked dangerous at times. Needs the ice time.
Lysell….IDK, that guy just disappears. Sorry but look to deal him IMO.
I think Minten ends up in Providence to start as you say he gets a ton of minutes there.
Korpisalo solidified his position as backup with that last game. And I agree with you, seeing what we saw of DiPietro, we need to find a future goalie and he aint it lol.
I am hoping our last preseason game features the team we are going with.
Also, so far, the powerplay run by this new guy has shown nothing. sadly
Also, I think we need to inject that Brown guy into the lineup on the 4th line…you know what you get with that guy and he works hard. he is not flashy but he is consistent.
Beecher should have been let go last year.

Monty looked like he had no clue and then he would mix up all the lines after like 2 shifts in the game. I just don't miss that coach at all, although I will always look back with fondness at his hilarious imitations of FLA players' dives in the playoffs.

Was getting Kuraly and Ardvedson and even jeannot worth potentially blocking Blumel, Minten, Poitras and Merki? How much better is a Ardy line with zacha and the middller then with a poitras or Blumel or minten? I guess we will see….
Why is goalie Bob making trade decisions? When a GM starts deferring to people on decision making, that's the first step to failure. Also falling in love with players or coaches and keeping your picks around that aren't developing to the NHL level because they are high picks, i.e. lysell or Beecher are also marks of bad general managing. Sweens reminds me of Chris Grier on the Miami Dolphins of how he handles these types of situations.

Poitras on the wing just doesn't work. Literally every single time he was put on the wing he just didn't look comfortable and didn't look right, it's been like that since year one and it's obvious you need to have him at center. That means either him or Minten need to be sent down and it should be Minten IMO because he's got more time than Potsy. That being said it allso creates a big questionmark in the long term because as your title says there's an absolute logjam at center in the future with Potsy, Minten, Hagens, Locmelis all in the pipeline so I feel like a few of them will have to go.
