  1. New system, new system, play hard, hard to play against…blah, blah, blah, blah. How about just win! Not a dig on the Captain. Just freaking win. As a Hawks fan, this is all we have heard for 5 years or more now. How about the $18M the Hawks can still spend? Don't understand.

  2. Considering last night, the only time we looked really out of it was when we took a ton of penalties in the 2nd, I'll gladly take our 5 on 5 play if what we saw in the 3rd is an indication of how this team can compete against playoff teams. We had a 27-9 shot attempt advantage in the 3rd period and actually ended up outshooting the wild even though we went into the 3rd having somewhere around 10 shots on goal less than the wild.

I know we don't want to have yet another year of moral victories, but it's pretty much been 3 seasons to this point where whenever we pulled a win out of our asses, our goalie posted like a .970 save percentage by saving over 40 shots and us scoring 3 goals on under 20 shots. This team looks like they're finally ready to compete and that's exciting.
