For everyone who thinks this a bad contract, here's some food for thought, Kaprizovs contract right now
Is 9 million his actual worth is over 14 million, when his new contract starts
At 17 million will be worth over 20 million in a couple years
Players I think the Wild should go after, Alex Tuck who's having problems with Buffalo is at the top of my board
22 mill im cap room for next yr, lets say gus gets 7, jiricek shouod be cheap, haight, ohgren cheap, lambos cheap, got plenty of money for a free agent or aquired player via trade. The wild are in a great place cap wise
The window starts next season. The window is between 2 and 3 years tops for a legit cup run. Some pieces are going to need to be subtracted, which is going to hurt some Wild fans feelings, and some added. A few prospects, along with a few regular roster players, are going to need to go to make it work…….

KK97 is the best thing to have happened to the state of hockey. He is as important to Minnesota as Ovi has been to Washington. The day he is gonna lift the SC with the Wilds everybody would sing in unison 17ml was a bargain.
Glad the deal is over with. This would have put a cloud over the whole season if they didn’t get it done. Now we can just get excited for the season
