Currently seated at No. 5 in the rankings, Portugal’s Francisca Veselko will be hungry to win in front of her home crowd, but she’ll have to surpass current No. 3 Sally Fitzgibbons who won the event in 2024. As the only pathway to pro surfing’s highest level of competition, the Championship Tour, and the stop in Portugal will be a defining moment for athletes looking to be a part of the next generation of professional surfing history.
