This is what happens when the Sens get pushed around & beat up by the Montreal Canadians, they come back with NOTHING. No anger, no push back, no effort & no response against the Blues at all. It reminds me of when the Leafs used to kick Ottawa's ass in the old days & thanks to JM we never had a response.
This is why trading for Zetterlund & Spence was a terrible decision, these two are of no help to the team in general & certainly no help in scrums & when the action gets tough. Ostapchuk on the other hand would have been right in there to defend his teammates, but not these little Smurfs & they don't contribute on the scoreboard either.
I would much rather have Yakemchuk on our team then either Spence or Matinpalo, I would much rather have Halliday & Ostapchuk then Zetterlund & Eller & at the moment I don't mind Kaliyev. Stop trading for these players who don't like it when the party gets rough.

People were concerned about 5 on 5 scoring but the Sens have no problem letting goals in 5 on 5 !

Zero cause for concern in pre season. Primarily AHL squads out there. Good signs from Zetterlund scoring the same amount of goals in pre season as he did with us last season. Sanderson looking excellent when he did play. Cozens, Brady and Stu getting apples.
Edit: Lycksell and Kaliyev showed that they can be called up and provide some value. Leevi was hung out to dry not having a complete NHL roster in front of him yet.
CN we start with Meri as our back up? I don’t think so… boys looking lost out there. The D was straight up embarrassing and the boys just can’t score..
This team has a great core and nobodies outside of the core.

How could it not be concerning that they can't score goals at all while having forgotten how to play defense? Anyone saying otherwise is is deep cope mode.
Nothing like a Habs fan telling you they don't think of the Sens while going out of their way to hate watch Sens content and act like they won a Stanley cup for winning a pre season game.
Also… Please, someone tell me, because I really want to know. Why did David Clarkson get a 10 game suspension for leaving the bench to fight in the preseason, but Xhekaj doesn't? I want to know.
Just remember the bills got blew out 38-0 vs the bears in the preseason. But man keep matinpalo away from the the nhl he is terrible.
So they had their B squad in Quebec, got crushed and punched out. They took their B squad in St Louis got destroyed, showed no emotions in that loss. Do you think they want to practice their goons again saturday rather then get ready for the season? It's almost getting ridiculous…
Preseason performance has confirmed reasons I reluctantly place Sens behind Habs this season………inability to score and suspect goaltending……and Habs will finish 4th…..Ughh !!!!
at this point, Montipalo would be outside looking in. He's looked bad. I'd start Yak with Chabby and Spence with Kleven.
These games have shown us that our back up position is looking very shaky and there is no help coming from the BSens if we get some injuries.

I wanted the Sens to try and get Tom Wilson a year or 2 ago. He's so much fun to watch. He crushes people and scores points. What a beast!!
Can we just skip the next preseason game and get right into the regular season lol. I can't watch another game of the Sens being destroyed without our full regular season lineup I mean I understand why they have preseason but let's just cut right to the chase into the games that actually matter lol. One comment about the shots on goal for the sens last night, the broadcast PxP said “the sens with a lot of low danger perimeter shots.”
It’s literally the same thing as last year. They aren’t going to the net to score, just shots from the point…

Zetterlund scoring is good for his confidence. I've been worried the entire time naming Leevi the backup after only a handful of games in the NHL. This isn't helping.

I get being unsettled but how can we panic when on any given night in these games we play like 6 nhl'ers
