The suzuki line stays together, best 5 on 5 line in the league last year, i go demidoc, kapenan, bolduc, then dach, laine and gallgher, evans, newhook and Anderson, size and grit across the lineup. Beck and Florian big minutes in the AHL and callups

Eveyone knows that Laine will not be back next year. No matter how many points he puts up, still too much of a risk to spend money on for next year.

I doubt that these two would prerecord numerous shows on the same day, so what is the deal with Shaun wearing the same shirt every day? Should we be concerned?
I feel Marco is eight. Florian should go back to Laval. There is no rush and I to think he hasn't reached is full talent yet. But if needed he will be the first called up. I feel Kapanen will be a good 3rd line center.
Are you guys going to talk about the Habs own future Sami Salo (aka Mr Glass)? I can still hear Brian Burke’s live comments before the Canadiens walked on to stage to make their pick. Burkie said he’d take Ryan Leonard without hesitation 🤦♂️ Simashev and Sandin-Pellika were still on the board too. I think the Reinbacher ship is heading to Port Bust unfortunately.

send florian down. call him up during games where we play teams with goons an a holes like tom wilson. otherwise he should learn and evolve his offense in the ahl so he can potentially become our own tom wilson.
I like Florian Xhekaj, but I don't think there is much offensive upside there. He doesn't shoot enough to be an offensive player in the NHL.
He only had 95 shots on goal in 69 AHL regular season games last year, and his shooting percentage was around 25.3%. In the playoffs he had 17 shots in 13 games and his shooting percentage was at 5.9%. If you look at his junior stats he also was not shooting a lot. 25.3% shooting percentage is absolutely unsustainable, especially against NHL goalies.
I still think he should be sent back to the AHL for more seasoning, but don't get your hopes up on this kid. He's going to be a 4th liner: A good 4th liner that every team wants and needs, but a 4th liner nonetheless.
The safe bet is Veleno

I think Kapinen has some chemistry with Demidov. So give it a go. Laine should drop to 3rd line. Move players around on the bottom 2 lines to find the right fit. Id like to see Anderson or Bolduc in the 2nd line from time to time to look out for Demidov. Imho
Really happy for Gallagher, he deserves a spot on the second line. Gallagher always delivers. I would have liked to see him with Demidov. Demidov needs time and space to work his magic. He needs to play with players who will give him that. We need a second Slaf. It isn't Demidov's job to go fetch the puck in the corner, he needs someone else to do this and to feed him the puck.
I think that Demidov will be fine with whoever he plays with. He is that good, and he is still coachable and moldable so that he reaches his full potential. The main concern I have after the Ottawa game is that we need someone to protect him…I like this idea of Florian Xhekaj's capabilities cooking some more in the AHL (and bring him up to HNL temporarily when opportunities present themselves). We need to see what he can really do!
Dach/Newhook/Beck/Anderson they are low IQ players we should not expect much out of them.I watched Cole and Hutson in college games they are the EXACT same player years later MSL has not done anything to improve ANY players.I would argue that MSL has mad them worse becuase he has been getting them to play predictable hockey.
Example every PP setup is identical/predictable and every time Laine is on the PP every player is telegraphing passes to him.
I like Thorpe/Florian/Bolduc because they can play with grit they have roles on this team roles this team NEEDS.
In spite of of poor coaching all MSL needs to do is tell the players two things get more shots AND bodies to the net quit playing LAZY perimeter hockey.Defensively tell his players to actually look around stay within reach of your check STOP puck spectating.
Florian – Yes MSL could help Florian develop as he has helped Caufield and Anderson etc. BUT the Habs are entering their competetive window and MSL should not have to be developing a player. MSL should be concerned less with 'teaching' now and should be focussed on getting the top performance out of the team.

Shawn is putting too much on the preseason games against AHL and ECHL players when talking about what Kapanen has done. Beck is already ready for the NHL as a 4th or 3rd line center. He can kill penalty's and be a strong forechecker and solid 2 way player.
Laine has been far & away better and more noticeable than Bolduc. Not to mention but as sportscasters or sports media individuals it seems you have the lack of knowledge like a lot of fan posts inregards to the practise lines put out publicly yesterday. It does not mean Laine is now on the 4th line and Gallagher is getting a chance on the 2nd. It clearly has been done so St.Louis and staff can get a final look with Owen Beck at Ctr and Bolduc in the top 6 but also as the line's go to goal scorer(shooter).One could also say that they are giving Veleno another look playing on the wing as well. This is why they have set the lines up this way. I would assume coaching staff is trying to determine if they can roll with 3 scoring lines and the best possible defensive makeup those lines can offer plus have a great veteran line with jam as well!!!!
