  1. Amazing that Connor Brown, Nikita Zaitsev, and Victor Mete got traded by Ottawa’s rivals now their going off as a Senator Love to see it.

  2. Ottawa's fans have a lot to be happy about. This team is nowhere near as bad as fans outside the north seem to think they are. People who didn't watch any of the games had a lot to say about teams in the division. I definitely think teams are going to be shocked when those teams go back to their divisions. If the Canadian division did anything it gave the sens, Vancouver, and the flames a chance to find some of their weaknesses and to improve in a way most teams outside the north division won't expect. I'm willing to bet all three of them will be much better next season than other teams fans expect them to be.

  3. every habs fan, with class, is glad for the success mete has. I bet byron ends up there too by career end

  4. If anyone thinks that Mete is not an NHL defenseman and that he was terrible with the habs then you don't know anything about hockey

  5. I’m happy he’s doing well there, the only thing that sucks is we lost him for nothing, and that the young guys lost a good friend on their team.

  6. I remembered when the Canucks fan base were screaming for the Canucks to pick up Mete while he was on waiver but dumbo benning didn't sign him and loses his chances.

  7. I find it funny that both Sergachev and Mete wears #98 and are doing better after leaving Montreal. Kinda reminds me of Chelios, Langway, Subban (not anymore), and McDonagh. Montreal also lost Fetisov after the former Soviet re-enter the draft in the 80s.

  8. if by struggling with mobility you mean speed, im not too sure what you mean because mete looks quite quick quite often. Maybe im misinterpreting what youre saying. That being said keep up the good work lego. I could see mete being a top 4 guy for us or most organizations. still has so much more room to grow

  9. Biggest move of the deadline. Mete has been a wonderful addition. Really excited to see what he does next season. I think he's going to be an excellent partner for Jacob Bernard-Docker next year.

  10. Habs fans are still the worst in the league. Disect every play and pour on media pressure. Time to drop the French speaking coach thing. Find someone that wins.

  11. He didnt fit in our d core but Id rather have mete than gustavsson or merrill rn tbh. Such bad moves by bergevin who wasted crucial cap space and 3 out of 4 call ups in one day.

  12. Habs players skate on eggshells. 1 mistake and line changes/healthy scratches are in order. They're the masters at ruining a kid's confidence.

  13. As a Habs fan who watched Mete since his debut in MTL, I don't agree with your point. Your reaction is the same as we all have in his first year with MTL: Oh well, surprising! Then….nothing….

Mete is a good kid and he has a good atitude. He has mobility and speed but no hands, no physical play and no shot. He won't get more than 20 points a year. Remember that he played a full season with Shea Weber (big minutes) and the guy hasn't score 1 goal!

  14. Obviously you'll get bench when you don't provide on a team that has some kind of dept on defense. Ottawa is a developpement team in the NHL, for now at least, Mete fits well there. It's sad for montreal that had to lose him, but it is what happens when you graduate guys in the NHL that woulda need more time in the AHL…

  15. Victor Mete great skater but no shot no finish and terrible in his own end, especially in front of the net. Will never be a great nhler

  16. As a Mtl fan, i think that Mete was liked by both fans, teamates and even coaches and managements, and they did everything not to have to send him on waivers seeing the future potential he might have. Sadly, he was brought to soon in the NHL due to he lack of debt in the past few years in defence and they hoped he would progress faster then he actually did. Sadly he did not and yes he may still have a bright future in the NHL, but with the high goals set by Habs management this year, he just didnt fit in with his low production combined with some costly mistake in defence, which often forced coaches to reduce his ice time or just bench him to replace him by another defencemen. Basicly he was an offensive defencemen that could help get out of the D zone and help launch the attack, but he often created risky plays that created chances for the opposing team, plus he struggled defencesively in his zone against some of the top end line in the North, mainly due this small physic, he just couldnt win his battle 1 vs 1, creating additionnal chances for some of the top lines, forcing the team to put him on a third pair where he couldnt shine offensively. Yes, it sad we lost him for nothin, but no one would have made a trade for him knowing he would become available for free soon due to the way the Habs were stretched on cap and with all the biggers defencemen on the roster. It was just a matter of time. I hope he does well in Ottawa or elsewhere, tho i feel his small physic may hinder him in the future on defence when your facing 6ft/200 pnds + fowards these days and your below 6fts/200 pnds. But right now he fits as part of the young defencemen in Ottawa, and maybe he can make a spot there, unless Ottawa end up with more young defencemen they can develop and a choice has to me made at some ptn, but for now they acquired a young defencement with a few years in the game to strenghten there defence line and help their other young defencemen develop, whatever he gives them he cost nothin to the Sens. Time will tell if he can remain in the top 6 defencemen permantly in Ottawa or elsewhere, at least he wont have the fear of making a mistake in a development team like Ottawa for the time being, allowing maybe to prove and shine to his full potential, or show the limit off his smaller size in defence in this league populated by bigger guys. It one thing on offence to be smaller(but quick) but another in defence. Time will tell.

  17. Seeing those comments about having a short leash in Montreal makes me worry that the same thing is going to happen to KK in a few years. Would not shock me if the organization blunders their way through another year or two of his development and then gets rid of him, only for him to flourish in the next place with all that weight off his shoulders.

  18. Petry do that job better to move the puck arround, happy for him other team give him chance but mtl have a lot of 5 6 7 8 D and the kid wasent playing so win win for mete and ottawa…..
