Sabres Drop Final Home Preseason Game

On 10/1/2025, the Buffalo Sabres took on the Pittsburgh Penguins in Buffalo. The Sabres had a lot of good individual moments, such as Rasmus Dahlin’s highlight reel goal and Josh Norris’ pair of markers. The Sabres were suffering from a lot of injuries on the defensive end, and the lack of depth was very much tested as Radim Mrkta, Jacob Bryson, and Connor Timmins all struggled. At the end of the day, the Sabres played a game very similar to what they did last season, scoring a few high skill goals, but making a lot of defensive mistakes and mental eras which led to goals against, and ultimately to defeat.
