I think with some of the injuries Wints was on track to be on the Kraken. His penalty killing is a huge asset for him in terms of making and staying on the roster.
It was a weird game with all the power plays on both sides. Not a lot of 5v5 to evaluate at times.
More power play and penalty killing practice is probably is hopefully useful for this team.
A little disappointed in Berkeley but I thought some of those calls against him were questionable/borderline. At least one, maybe two were him going for the puck, trying to defend. I was impressed with Winterton
Nyman will make the team, that’s is almost 100%. Winterton made a great case but I think Kartye will take it, unless injuries and stuff. Catton will be sent down, he got bullied in this last game I felt, and even tho some of the calls against him was questionable, I feel like he wasn’t comfortable with the pace and couldn’t handle the physical battles. He’ll probably get the trial and then get sent down. That’s the best thing the coaching staff could do imo with him. Fisker Moolgard was really good the whole preseason, convinced he’ll be sent down tho and he’ll probably get some games towards then end if we’re out of a playoff race (hopefully, I want us to gun for Mckenna or even better, Verhoeff cause he’s a defender)
