Alex Tuch at $10 million per year or more is a contract the Buffalo Sabres should seriously consider
Alex Tuch and the Buffalo Sabres are reportedly in different ball parks when it comes to his next contract. Pierre LeBrun indicates Tuch could be looking for $10 million per year or more on a long-term deal. While that number might have a lot of sticker-shock, Sneaky Joe argues for it being a perfectly reasonable contract with the increases coming to the salary cap. Will the Buffalo Sabres agree? If I were Tuch, I would wait and see how the season ends before I would even think about it
Det vs Buf: Lindy was smart to play bottom 6 and non NHL ers against Detroits regulars. Give the lower level guys a challenge. You had some bright spots: Doan with a goal, Ostlund goal, decent play out k-ring, and also some decent minutes out of Danforth. For me one of the biggest storylines is that MRTKA looks f-ing ready. Also want a regular dose of Hellenius 👍 🏒

I’d be inclined to give Radim Mrtka his 9 game look. Not to make the Sabres like Benson did, but to get a real gauge as to whether he should go back to Juniors, or if that’s a waste for him and send him to Rochester instead.
Wouldn’t hurt to find out with a spot open and with how solid he’s been so far.

People tried telling me that my reaction when Georgiev sent back out that rebound, was "too much" and that it's just "preseason". like ok guys let's just be totally ok with a goalie in the NHL tossing back out the puck when you got 2 Red Wing players standing in front of the net with no help in sight by your defense….
If I'm Touch I'm looking at a Hometown Premium, if not to be then it's time to be gone. I'd look for a real organization, with a real team and a real chance at a Cup

If thats the case with tuck then they are gonna have to give thompson and dahlin a raise then. There is no frigging way im paying a player more because a cap went up. If he was as dominate as either of them 2 ok then but dude gets bumps and bruises every year. Hasnt even played a full season here i dont think. Maybe 1 year.
