If Robertson would sign I think the Flames would take that deal 2-1 straight up no problem, without having to add any major prospect or number 1 picks.

When people say that Kaprizov turned down he most lucrative contract in NHL history, are we to believe that Edmonton didn't already off a near max deal to McDavid already?

Kadri & Rantanen have history & a Cup together as well. Andersen is that RHS D Stars could use. I dont think much would need to be added. Robertson still an RFA & if he refuses to sign next summer Flames could get a pretty nice return for him. Interesting trade potential which usually means it probably wont happen lol.
I think McDavid been told that if he going to take less , too wait til Eichel and others sign.
If McDavid does sign for 15.5 like Friedman is suggesting, Kaprisov is not going to get more than McDavid and will look stupid for turning down the 16.
If Calgary does sign Anderson for 2-3 years. That would give there young defenceman time.

Kaprizov can always go back to Russia if Minnesota isn't good enough for him.
Will robertson extend for Calgary? Will Dallas have the space to extend Raz? I don't think it's realistic, although if sounds like fun.
