The Anaheim Ducks dropped a rough 3–0 preseason game to the Los Angeles Kings, and there’s no way to sugarcoat it. Head coach Joel Quenneville has said he wants the Ducks to be the hardest-working team in the NHL, but that effort was nowhere to be found. Goaltender Lukas Dostal stood out in his half-game, but defensemen Jacob Trouba and Pavel Mintyukov both struggled, with Trouba directly involved in all three goals against. On the bright side, Leo Carlsson, Mikael Granlund, and Ryan Poehling were all over 50% on faceoffs, and the penalty kill is a perfect 12-for-12 this preseason. The Ducks will face the Kings again on Saturday in Bakersfield for their fourth of seven preseason games. #nhl #hockey #anaheimducks #lakings

When Zegras checks back into the lineup, we should have a bit more firepower.
McTavish, we miss you bro.
This was a poor showing of the veteran’s and very concerning as we continue to repeat the past – bad passes, turnovers and no one wants to shoot the puck. No one looked like they really cared they were playing the Kings who have owned us for the past 5-6 years. Trouba is looking like a liability right now. I hope the Coach wakes these guys up. This was really disappointing to watch. go Ducks 😕
This team looked slow and lazy
Leo/Cutter/Terry, Kreider/Granlund/Killorn, Trouba/Minty. Those combo's should never be used again. Killorn and Trouba looked horrible like last year, so it's not coaching or the preseason. And the chemistry of having two shooters on the Leo line was not working. On the bright side, the 4 on 4 looked phenomenal. Helleson and LaCombe looks like an experiment gone right. And Nesterenko and Colangelo look hungry to make the team.
Troubadour is not even close to living up to what he’s being paid for. I wish we had kept Doumalin

You are being harsh on Minty this game imo, he showed good drfense too, except for the goal moment which was a domino caused by Jake.
Well be nice to have Bruce boudreaux back. A lot of people hated him but he had us in the playoffs every year he was coach. Nice to have hope

Looks like another nightmare of a season incoming. The ducks are turning into a retirement house for old Rangers , Trouba , Kreider on top of Strome and Vatrano , yeah amazing ……. Lost Milano for nothing , lost Zegras for nothing , Drysdale too . Poor Gibson finally got out of this mess and i m soooo happy for him . Mc Tavish ? Farewell buddy , wish you good luck somewhere else. Terry will never be a better player than he is now , that leaves us with Dostal , Carlsson , Gauthier and Lacombe to build around . Last year improvement in points was only due to Dostal and Gibson playing out of their minds , this season will be a shit show, last in the division for sure.
It is preseason! And still got a lot of work to do! Go ducks! 🧡
I really hope Minty is just in a slump but starting to think he may be the odd LD out, possibly traded. Maybe part of a Robinson deal?
Mintyukov's hands were so terrible it was like beer league bad. Couldnt handle the puck & passes were god awful
Come on we have 82 games to go in "Panic mode" on so this is to soon sorry but it is with love from the other side of the pond.
Go Kings 👑
I mean I would argue that Washe, Sidorov, Nesterenko, and Hinds are all AHL players, so i dont think the lineup is fair (plus missing zelly and Gudas, Mctavish).
As I look back over the last 15 or so years and the multitude of Ducks players who were traded/sold off/released I find myself wondering how Ducks fans have had so doggone much patience? When frustration rises enough that you'd like to hang the owners in front of the pond, I think that says it all. And what I am especially negative on, is it's picking rejects from around the league to make up for having gutted my own farm system. What the heck is that all about? Finally, would someone please shove cotton in the mouth of "Hazy", the most narrow-minded color man in history? He's in his own class-like the Twilight Zone. I thought "Foxy"-Jim Fox-was bad ("Barney Rubble/"Motor Mouth", but, at least he tosses out some complements towards opposing players. A guy who ignores anything great from the opposition is a pus*** of the lowest order! And try to remember, NHL.com uses highlights as called by individual team announcers. So, when stupid things are said, the whole world hears them. Perhaps I'm still clinging to the memories of the great 2007 team, but it really bothers me to hear Ducks fans complain about particular plays or players. Look to your ownership and ask them where they gained their hockey IQ. Geez, I never thought I'd look back and miss Disney management!!!!!
Boring kings hockey. I say boring ducks hockey cause they suck so bad. Didn’t think they were going to get ten shots on goal cause non of them even try
Honestly thought they were literally practicing passing and defense positions.
Not sure if you saw it, but in one of the pressers after practice from Q that either Zach or Derek posted, Q mentioned that Minty “should be a lock in the lineup”
Verbeek doesn't want to pay McTavish the long term deal. From my sources I hear McTavish wants to be a long-term Duck, and with the cap going up wants to get paid. We have the money so pay him for heaven sakes!! let's get going. If the Ducks don't make the playoffs Verbeek needs to be let go. McTavish is the heart and soul of this team and I thought eventually captain. He's not coming back if Verbeek doesn't pay him and we're going to have another crappy year. If he's not the lineup it's going to be hard to watch
