    Mason Mctavish did not want to leave Anaheim. He was worth an 8 year 9 million per offer sheet for a 1st 2nd and 3rd. His home is in California, and he will bring them success and maybe a Stanley Cup. Congratulations, Mason, you are worth the money, and the Ducks deserve your services. 🦆

    I think IF you decide to compensate for state income taxes, then the cap is the baseline. And then the cap number goes up for impacted teams by the state tax percentage. So if the tax rate in a state is 6%, then the cap number for teams in that state increases by 6%. Can't see a reason the players wouldn't support this – it is more money. If owners don't want to spend addtional money, they are not forced to since there is no requirement to spend to the cap.

    Remember Al from Caledon that income tax is just one of many ways states collect taxes from their residents. To figure out a person’s total tax exposure you have to know the tax rate of all the taxes the state collects. And don’t forget to include any county and city taxes a person may be liable for. Also, just to be fair, please include in your calculations the exchange rate and the lower cost of living in Canada as those factors greatly benefit Canada based players.

    20:00 so the Oilers are running it back with Skinner/Pickard then? Yet another wasted year then…. But yeah at least they’re both popular in the room! 🤦🏼‍♂️
