The Anaheim Ducks handled the San Jose Barracuda 3–2 in preseason action at Honda Center, with Cutter Gauthier, Radko Gudas, and Frank Vatrano scoring in a four-minute burst in the second period. Goaltender Ville Husso stopped 22 of 24 shots in his second preseason start, while Tyson Hinds impressed on defense and Beckette Sennecke showed his best performance of the preseason so far. The Ducks’ top line featuring Chris Kreider, Troy Terry, and Leo Carlsson displayed promising chemistry, and Anaheim’s aggressive penalty kill—with contributions from Kreider, Terry, Granlund, Carlsson, and Gauthier—continued to impress.
