  1. Marc-Antoine, you are sitting on the wrong side. Please do not repeat this serious infraction in future episodes.

  2. The most important thing imho is that MSL seems to have decided to separate Demidov from Dach and Laine. Newhook and Kapanen is far from ideal, but it's safer. Arpon is right, Bolduc and Demi seems right.

  3. Demi/Newhook/Kapanen
In my opinion, Newhook is one of the premiere zone entry skaters in the league. This is where Anderson might work well in Kapanen’s spot, too

  4. It seems like, elite players and or conscientious players recognize a weakness and work on said weakness. Doesn't seem to be the case with Laine. I am what I am. Deal with it. Is that the case?

  5. I've been screaming to put Laine back on his strong side, not only does he receive passes better, he is also much, much more direct on his own side. The reason he doesn't take his passes on his backhand is that he has played 20 years not doing it; it's like asking a golfer to putt on his offside – not happening.

  6. How about Bolduc – Newhook – Demidov. Speed from Newhook and physical+shooting+F1 from Bolduc could complement Demidov.

  7. There should be one physical plater in each line plus 2-3 policemen. Slaf, Bolduc, Florin, Blais, Arber should be in.

  8. We are not going to find out if Dach can be our 2C if he plays with Laine. There is no chemistry (& no F1). So … ??? Conclusion:
There is no fit for Laine . Go thru any/all
    combination you want

  9. It's fairly clear MSL sees Demidov as far better than either Dach or Laine and that both are dragging him down, so why not put him on a more skilled and faster line? It won't be long before line 2 becomes the official line 3 or even 4. I don't anticipate getting much for Dach or Laine but they'll both be gone by the season's end. They're dead weight.

  10. Laine has to improve at 5 on 5 to stay on the 2nd line and get PP time. If Bolduc and Demidov are on the same line, plug and play any C that has chemistry. Whether it be Dach, Valeno or Newhook. Maybe Jake Evans at 2C and Valeno with Anderson and Galley. I really don't want Laine getting a free pass for not being able to play the system.

  11. Caufield – Suzuki – Slaf
    Bolduc – Evans – Demidov
    Laine – Dach – Newhook
    Anderson – ? – Gallagher

I want Demidov with my most reliable center after Suzuki, which is Evans right now, and with a winger who's gritty, responsible defensively, and with a shot, which fits Bolduc.

  12. The combination of Dach and Laine does not work. It’s these two who need to be separated. Any other combination will probably work more efficiently than these two together.
